The Light of Christmas
The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them. Isaiah 9:2 Have you ever been somewhere so completely and utterly dark that you could not tell if your eyes were open or closed? A few years ago, when my family toured Mammoth Cave, the tour guide turned off the lights, plunging us into an underground night. But when he turned on his cigarette lighter, the entire room was illuminated. He told us that if need be, he could lead our entire group out with the tiny flame. When darkness is all around, even the tiniest…

What Are You Anticipating?
Christmas is a season of anticipation. Some of you might be counting down the days until you get to bake cookies or exchange presents with your family. You might be looking forward to the ugly Christmas sweater contest at work or your Bible study’s white elephant gift party. Behold Our God Theology Review + Interview with Eliana From Eliana the Writer!
I know this technically is not a Christmas song, but sometimes we forget Who the baby in the manger really is. I recently read an article on Grace To You that addressed this topic. This song is one of my favorites (as well as one of my friend’s favorites, but more on that later). The first two verses speak of God as King and Ruler of all the earth. They tell of His great power and His omniscience (a big word that just means “all-knowing”). I am reminded of Isaiah 40:12-14, which reads, Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, And marked off the heavens by…
